Authentic Japanese Cooking in the heart of Cornwall at Etherington’s Farm Shop.
This February Etherington’s Farm Shop are holding two Japanese cookery workshops, in association with Naoko Kashiwagi of Naoko’s ’s Kitchen.
During these three-hour sessions, Naoko Kashiwagi will teach you how to make traditional Japanese food using authentic and fresh local ingredients. Naoko will share her skills and experience, teaching you how to prepare delicious dishes from scratch, creating new and delicious flavour combinations and textures.
You'll learn all about miso, soy sauce and of course, Sushi - whilst having the opportunity to create a broad range of Japanese dishes including:
· Chicken Zouni Miso & Soup (Chicken and vegetable Miso Soup)
· Pan-fried pork and leek, ginger, anchovy
· Kombu-cha seasoned Cornish Mackerel Roll Sushi
· Udon, Spicy Sesame Soy Dipping Soup
You will cook and eat throughout the session, as well as enjoying authentic Barley Tea and wine. Each participant will leave with a detailed recipe pack of the dishes created, allowing you to re-create them back in your kitchen at home.
The workshops will take place at the Farm Shop at Wheal Rose Scorrier on the evening of the 2nd of February and the lunchtime on the 24th February. Spaces are limited to 16 individuals and are expected to sell out quickly.
