Etherington’s have triumphed at the Taste of the West Awards 2013 by winning Gold for their butchery expertise and Silver for Etherington’s Farm Shop.
The last two decades have seen the Taste of West Awards acknowledge and celebrate the highest quality produce within the South West’s magnificent food and drink industry.
Etherington’s Farm Shop near Scorrier has been open for less than a year. It faced strong opposition within the Farm Shop and Butchery categories from six counties throughout the South West in order to be crowned the victors.
Mark Etherington, Managing Director of Etherington’s, is delighted with their award success saying:
“We are thrilled to have won Taste of the West Gold for our Butchery and Silver for our Farm Shop. These awards are true testaments to the brilliant staff that we have who take exceptional care of our produce and provide excellent service to our customers.”
Rachel Creasy from Taste of the West was delighted to inform Etherington’s of their success saying:
“A huge congratulations must be given to Etherington’s Butchery and Farm Shop for their outstanding achievements. The competition has been particularly fierce and the bar very high for the competitors this year.”
The family business is comprised of three elements: Brian Etherington Meat Company, Etherington’s Farm Shop and Butchery Academy. All components help to support employment within Cornwall, which is something the family are extremely passionate about as well as “Keeping it Cornish”.
